so mike has been prodding me to begin blogging.  i’ve kind of resisted for a while, but (obviously) i have given in.  i don’t expect to have much to say, nor anything terribly profound.  still, i hope that this will be a place i can get stuff out of my head onto a page.  especially at times like this where i am up late doing homework (as usual) and i need a break.  so here i am.  this blog will almost certainly fold within a month or two but i’m giving it a good shot.

here we go.
